Residential applications offer different challenges and constraints upon the design. There are usually no false ceiling voids available for concealing equipment, pipes and cables. Siting of outdoor units can be difficult - especially if you don’t want to annoy the neighbours - and a noise level from equipment that may be acceptable in an office, may not be when used in a bedroom environment. Conservatories can be prohibitively expensive to cool adequately, though measures can be taken such as fitting blinds and heat reflective film to reduce the heat gains to a reasonable level.
